- Bodywork:
- replaced the grill
- replaced the passenger side fender
- replaced both bumpers
- new hood, trunk, and door bumpers
- quarter panels cut out and replaced due to rot (Chrysler B-bodies are infamous for this.)
- replaced the passenger side door due to an idiot's car rolling back into it
- the paint and its scheme
- new trunk floor welded in
- new trunk floor mat
- new trunk weatherstripping
- replaced the vinyl roof
- Interior:
- new carpet
- new console carpet
- new package tray (rear deck)
- Sony AM/FM/cassette radio
- Sony speakers
- new antenna
- Mechanicals:
- replaced the 318 with a 440
- which has been bored .030" over
- aluminum pistons
- "Hemi" grind cam--220 degrees duration at 50 mils and .484" lift
- Moroso low restriction air cleaner
- Holley 650cfm double-pumper carb
- Edlebrock Performer two plane intake manifold
- Mopar Performance black crinkle finish valve covers
- thermostatic fan
- Flo-cooler water pump
- High volume oil pump
- seperate oil cooler
- new fuel sending unit (as fast as this car guzzles gas, knowing
how much is left in the tank comes in just a bit handy)
- new gas tank (Bought from www.egastanks.com. It's an exact match
to the original.)
- completely new exhaust
- Mopar HP exhaust manifolds
- 2.25" pipe, including a crosstube
- Flow Master mufflers
- brakes
- new drums
- new wheel cylinders
- new brake hoses
- 727 automatic transmission
- completely rebuilt with shift kit so the tires chirp with nearly every shift
- TCI "Break-A-Way" torque converter with 2500rpm stall
- seperate transmission fluid cooler
- rebuilt 8 3/4" Sure-grip rear axle with 3.91 gears
- wheels
- American Racing Equipment 15" Vector style (Yes, they're like the General Lee, but they go
extremely well with the black vinyl roof)
- 225/70-15 rubber in the front
- 255/60-15 in the back
- Suspension/Steering
- new steering gear box with its own power steering fluid cooler
- heavy duty R/T torsion bars
- replaced the K-frame
- new ball joints (twice)
- new upper control bushings
- new lower control bushings
- new sway bar bushings
- Electricals:
- new headlight harness
- new headlights
- new engine harness
- Mopar Performance lightweight starter
- Mallory electronic ignition
- Accell coil
- 8mm sparkplug wires
- new rear light harness
- new back up light harness
When you own a muscle car for as long as I have, you come up with plenty of ways to blow
your cash. And I wouldn't give it up for anything.
