Sean Penn plays his younger brother. He signs his bro' up for The Game. And once the premise is set in place, the Game slowly unfolds. Mishaps occur. A waitress spills a drink on our "hero". Douglas hooks up with her.
And yes, the events build to a crescendo. Something happens which is Crying Game surprising. Of course I won't give it away, but you wonder at the instances (SPOILER WARNING) at just how the hell this or that could've been planned to come off with the clockwork precision which only sloppy movie writing can get away.
The Game is a deeply flawed, somewhat enjoyable movie. It only gets a recc from a Douglas-fan viewpoint. Plot holes a truck could pass thru do not an enjoyable movie make.
